Arsenal and AC Milan were involved in a gripping 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium tonight in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie. Carlo Garganese rates the players on show.
Arsenal
Lehmann – 6.0: Did not have too many saves to make, but did all that was required of him.
Sagna - 6.0: Defensively fine, and made a number of overlapping runs down the right.
Toure - NA: Limped off after just five minutes with injury. His replacement Senderos (8.0) was rock solid and made one crucial challenge on Kaka.
Gallas - 7.5: Back to his best after a nightmare display against Man Utd at the weekend. Commanding game.
Clichy – 6.0: Was not troubled too much defensively but made no impact whatsoever as an attacking force.
Eboue - 8.0: Very lively and tricky, he looked dangerous every time he picked up the ball. Perhaps should have done better with his chance at the beginning of the second-half.
Zeljko Kalac and the crossbar allowed Milan to hold Arsenal to a goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium.
The Rossoneri welcomed Zeljko Kalac, Clarence Seedorf and Alexandre Pato back from injury, the 18-year-old making his Champions League debut after three weeks out with a sprained ankle. Nelson Dida's back and a serious Ronaldo knee injury ruled them out. As Manuel Almunia was sidelined, former Milan flop Jens Lehmann started in the Gunners' goal.
