Champions League, Rd2, 1st leg - 20/2/08 (19.45)
Arsenal 0 - 0 Milan

Emirates Stadium

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zeljko Kalac and the crossbar allowed Milan to hold Arsenal to a goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium.

The Rossoneri welcomed Zeljko Kalac, Clarence Seedorf and Alexandre Pato back from injury, the 18-year-old making his Champions League debut after three weeks out with a sprained ankle. Nelson Dida's back and a serious Ronaldo knee injury ruled them out. As Manuel Almunia was sidelined, former Milan flop Jens Lehmann started in the Gunners' goal.

The Italians played with white shirts and black shorts, an unusual away strip. They had the first chance after four minutes, as Pato flicked the ball over a defender and his shot was delfected out for a ... Read more »

"Having many games close together makes a difference, but a team like Milan always has the responsibility to win. When we go on the pitch we try to give our all and give everything."

PARMA - Here are the declarations of the rossoneri following Parma-Milan 0-0:

EMERSON:

"In the second half we played a great match, especially compared to the first half when we played poorly, the only thing we lacked was a goal. We know that having so many games close together takes its toll, but a team like Milan always has the responsibility to win, when we go on the pitch we try to give our all and give everything. Personally I'm doing well, it's my second game from the beginning, I only have to try and get back the match rhythm, that's what I'm missing right now even though it's difficult if you don't play regularly. I always try to give my best when I come on the pitch and also tonight I tried to give my best, but the most important thing is to win." ... Read more »

Serie A Week 15 - 30/1/08 (19.30 UK)
Reggina 0 - 1 Milan
Gilardino 18 (M)
Stadio Granillo

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alberto Gilardino's goal proved enough to maintain Milan's climb up the table as they conquer Reggina 1-0 in a rescheduled Week 15 tie.

This match was rescheduled from December 9, 2007 due to the Rossoneri's participation in the Club World Cup in Japan. Nelson Dida, Ronaldo and Pippo Inzaghi were injured, so Alexandre Pato partnered Alberto Gilardino just three days after the Brazilian teenager bagged both goals in the 2-0 victory over Genoa. Reggina were fresh from a 2-2 draw away to Atalanta, where they fought back from 2-0 down, but Emil Halfredsson and Nicola Amoruso were sidelined.

Gennaro Gattuso scored a rare goal against Atalanta last week, albeit with the aid of a deflection, and he tried to repeat the trick with a fierce right-foot drive that the 'keeper palmed out for a ... Read more »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alexandre Pato had a sensational Serie A debut with a goal, Ronaldo bagged a brace and Milan ended their taboo with a 5-2 demolition of Napoli.

The Stadio Meazza was packed out to see teenage sensation Pato's first game in a Rossoneri jersey. Although he joined from Internacional in the summer, he only turned 18 in September and so could not register his contract until the January transfer window opened.

As Pippo Inzaghi was out injured, Pato got his first start in a Brazilian 'Trio della Meraviglie' with Kaka and Ronaldo. Gennaro Gattuso, Manuele Blasi and Marcelo Zalayeta were suspended, but Napoli hoped for their first victory here since 1986. Milan were still without a home win in Serie ... Read more »
