Milan defender Alessandro Nesta's season seems doomed as he suffered another problem to his back just when it seemed he would be ready to take place on the bench again.
According to reports by SkySport24, there is more bad news for Milan fans surrounding Alessandro Nesta. The defender's back has been giving him problems again, so much so that this morning he was reportedly unable to get out of bed.
Although the player and Milan's medical staff want to remain optimistic, considering the progress he was making on his long-lasting back problems, following his rehabilitation period in the United States, this latest setback is a major blow.
The most likely option now for the player is a surgical operation, but in that case his playing career might be in jeopardy. The next few days will be very di

The star pair will not recover from injury in time for the big match against Inter, leaving Carlo Ancelotti with a minor selection headache...
There were reports earlier this week indicating that there was a slim chance that Milan stars Kaka and Alessandro Nesta could recover in time for the highly-anticipated derby on Sunday evening. These hopes have been dashed as both men have been ruled out of the fixture against Inter.
Kaka suffered an injury in the 1-1 draw with Reggina last weekend, and he has not won the race against time to play against Inter, according to the Corriere dello Sport. The Brazilian midfielder ended his training session at Milanello after just a few minutes on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Nesta, who has yet to make an appearance for Milan this season, recently returned from

The defender is raring to face Inter in Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina and, if everything goes according to plan, he could even be in the starting XI.
MilanNews.it reports that central defender Alessandro Nesta will join the rest of his team-mates for today’s training session at Milanello in a crucial test ahead of the grudge derby game against Inter on Sunday night.
The former Lazio captain has yet to make an official appearance this season, however, he could sensationally be handed a starting shirt at the weekend.
The 32-year-old has only featured in a friendly game in Albania last October and sat on the bench for the home game with Sampdoria. But his back problems flared up again and he travelled to Miami, where he has a home, for treatment.
He returned to Italy on January 21, insisting that he would be back in action within a month. True to his word, he now seems to have finally shaken off his problems and could have a starring rol

The defender could be ready in time for the derby showdown later this week...
Alessandro Nesta's injury torment could finally be at an end as he readies himself to take part in the Milan derby next weekend.
The Italian defender has been out of action for most of the season, spending three months in Miami to cure an on going back problem. Nesta returned to Italy in January and he has been working hard to get himself back to full fitness.
After a nightmare spell on the sidelines there are finally some signs of light at the end of the tunnel for the former Lazio man. Sportmediaset.it claims there is a very good chance that Nesta will be lining up against city rivals Inter when the two teams meet in what is likely to be a Scudetto showdown.
The defender cannot wait to return and he will be a

You heard it here first…Goal.com are launching an ambitious campaign for Marcello Lippi to play Paolo Maldini against Brazil on February 10 in what would be a special international farewell before the Milan hero retires. We need your support to help make it happen…
Paolo Maldini will finally retire at the end of the current season and, unlike the past two years, this time there will be no going back. This raises the question – just how do you honour a player, who will probably go down in history as the greatest defender of all time?
It can’t be possible that a monument of the game, who has won seven Scudetti, five Champions Leagues, been capped more than any Milan, Serie A or Italy national team player, can just fade away into the horizon. This is someone who has been consistently world class for the best part of a quarter-

The Rossoneri vice president has said the club will hold talks with Beckham's agent in the next few days to see if there is any possibility of keeping him at the club on a permanent basis...
Before tonight's match against Genoa, Milan vice president Adriano Galliani gave an interview to SKY Sport in which he talked mainly about the possibility of keeping David Beckham instead of letting him return to Los Angeles Galaxy in March, as was agreed in the loan deal.
"There is a very good feeling between the player and the club, but there are some problems you'll also be aware of. Let's see what can be done," he said.
"We honour our agreements, on March 9 he has to return to Los Angeles, but there is some time to go before that, and who knows, maybe the miracle will happen and the dream will come true.
"His agent is in Milan, he will talk with David after the match [against Genoa], and we will meet him in the next few days."

MILANELLO - Here are the declarations made this morning by Milan's club doctor, Massimo Manara, to Milan Channel's microphones:
BONERA: he has resumed the activities with the team, we'll see what his reaction is to this type of work, in any case he should be available if not for Wednesday, then certainly for Sunday.
BORRIELLO: we are at the end of his troubles and he should rejoin the team after the tests with MilanLab.
GATTUSO: Rino has his personalised program, with different times compared to his team mates. The evolution is very positive and Friday, along with other players like Kaladze an
